Services
Our individual counseling uses evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you find answers and develop coping skills for life's challenges.
Substance Abuse
Problems with substance abuse arise when a person repeatedly uses drugs or alcohol despite the negative consequences they incur. Substance abuse can be treated with therapy, provided the individual is ready and willing for treatment.
Stress & Anxiety
While a certain amount of stress is a normal part of life, there are times when everything seems overwhelming. Through counseling, you will learn simple yet effective techniques to strategically help you cope with stress and anxiety.
Depression
Depression is among the most treatable of mental disorders. Learning encouraging self-talk and positive behaviors, along with getting to the source of depression, is the key to overcoming it before it progresses.
Trauma
Trauma is what happens when the nervous system is pushed beyond its limits. Instead of returning to balance, the body may stay in patterns of fear, shutdown, or hypervigilance, even when the danger is over. EMDR therapy has been proven to be very effective for treating trauma.
Relationships
Relationships require work and are bound to face challenges. Recognizing where problems begin is key to understanding what's happening. Counseling can build better communication and healthy boundaries.
Anger Management
Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it gets out of control it can become destructive and undermine one's quality of life. Having a plan to deal with anger lessens the chance of acting on it in an unhealthy way.
Conflict Resolution
Conflicts, arguments, and change are natural parts of our lives. The goal of conflict resolution is to find a way for two or more parties to come together in finding a solution to a disagreement.
Online counseling via secure webcam is also available — a convenient option if you don't have a therapist nearby or have a busy schedule.

About Casey
Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S)
Choosing a counselor isn't easy. You want one that's the best fit for you, and that can be difficult when there is little personal information provided. I am a counselor who has a strong desire to see people succeed. Being able to contribute to the well-being of others by helping them through a difficult time is very rewarding to me. I am open-minded and extremely patient in helping my clients work through the various struggles and challenges they face.
I have lived in Frisco since 2003 with my wonderful wife. I enjoy jogging, reading, and watching sports. Prior to becoming a counselor in 2012, I was a manager for Starbucks in Plano. Upon obtaining my Master's degree at Amberton University, I worked at Life Management Resources in McKinney, Texas for four years, counseling people who struggled with Substance Use Disorders.

Frequently Asked Questions
A few things people often wonder about before reaching out.
What exactly is counseling?
Counseling is an interpersonal relationship between the counselor and the client. It's a way to explore present challenges and identify past experiences that have affected you, with the goal of understanding patterns of behavior in order to work toward solving the problems they create.
How can counseling help me?
There are times when certain issues or events can be overwhelming and cause emotional distress. Counseling is an effective way to address issues that cause emotional, mental, or physical distress. It should never be considered a weakness to ask for help.
What should I expect from counseling?
You can expect the counselor to listen objectively and openly to your concerns and needs. By helping you develop a better understanding of these concerns, you become able to deal with them more effectively. Your level of participation will also affect your progress.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions typically last 45–50 minutes. Additional time can be requested at the rate of $25 for every 15 minutes.
How long will I be in counseling?
This varies with each client. It's often a good idea to start with about 10 sessions and adjust from there to fit your particular situation and goals.
Does Plan C take insurance?
Yes, Plan C Counseling uses Headway to verify and take most major insurance plans. Feel free to reach out concerning verification of benefits.
Do you offer online counseling?
Yes. I offer online counseling via secure webcam for your convenience — an excellent option for clients without a therapist in their area or with busy schedules.
Are you available on evenings and weekends?
Plan C Counseling offers morning, afternoon, early evening, and Saturday morning appointments for your convenience.
Are my sessions confidential?
Yes. As a client you are guaranteed the protection of confidentiality. The only limitations are when a client is considered a threat to themselves or others, if harm to a minor is suspected, or when legal requirements demand disclosure.
