Almost everyone at some time or another could benefit from counseling in his/her lifetime but very few will seek it. People create obstacles in their mind or look for reasons that keep them from getting help. “Help” is not advice, judgment, criticism, nor is it designed to alter their views and beliefs. A counselor works together with the client to determine the method(s) that works for each individual. Additionally, finding the right “fit” between you and your counselor is vital. Clients should be comfortable communicating their thoughts and ideas freely without fear of judgment. It’s imperative to form a productive counselor/client relationship that will help you to determine a problem, make a decision, and reach the goal you desire. It’s a wonderful release to have someone listen without interruption or unwanted advice. Perhaps another factor is finding someone with flexible appointment times that include evenings and weekends that accommodate your schedule. Counseling shouldn’t be something that’s viewed with dread. In fact, many people are surprised to realize that they feel better just by sharing their thoughts with someone. My goal at Plan C Counseling Services is to accomplish the above and see people succeed at living a happy and well-balanced life.
At Plan C Counseling Services, my purpose is to do my best to see that you are satisfied with every session, and you feel comfortable with the route we’re taking to resolve the problem you’ve presented. We’ll work toward discovering and identifying the cause of discontent or struggle, and then work towards a solution that’s comfortable to the client. One way I try to ensure this is by offering a free 30-minute consultation for us to meet and address any questions or concerns you may have. This will allow you time to decide if Plan C Counseling Services is right for you.
